More than once I've watched them. My boys. My playful, hyper brothers Children in all but name now. Ginger hair mixes with Saxon dishwater blonde Gold and brown flying. Jealousy is in me as I watch. They kept their childhood Played Laughed Argued Pushed each other into streams. I love them. Basketball, flirty Kyle Hyper, broad-smiling Daniel Comedic, blue-eyed JJ Quiet, laughing Kaden Drawling, stocky Jake Fine boned, smug Dayton Laughing, dancing Gerrit My boys. Yep, MY boys.

The body of one lacks definition It is the culture of soul The skeleton the very definition of this. See, the stretch of the femur The extension of the phalanges The ridges of the vertebrae The curve of the ribs The broad expanse of the sternum. The clavicle though A sweep of bone that defines the neck Giving grace to something so unattractive. There is something that drags one into the shape of the arm With its delicate digits The graceful collection of metacarpals The mess of bone that makes up the carpals The partnership of ulna and radius And the long extension of the humerus. Such is the body Such is the soul.
